FAQ

  • What technology do you use?
The tech we use depends on the nature of the project that we are working on. Our main interests is the merging of digital and physical worlds via blockchain, microchips, AI, and XR technology including VR, AR, and MR. We are currently exploring the use of digital twins/ news/ data/ events, time-factors, geolocation, context, computer vision, shared experiences, persistent experiences, emotional outcomes data, sound, and other feedback loops between the outside world, the user, and the work in order to deepen the connection between the viewer and the way they experience art.
  • I'm an artist and want Art NSDRS to sell my work. Is this possible?
We only sell work from collaborations with artists we co-create specific projects with. If you are an established artist and are interested in collaborating with us, please email us at info@nsdrs.com or message us through chat accessible on this site.
  • Do you charge artists fees?
No, we do not charge any fees to the artists we collaborate with. We believe in the projects we create together and invest our time and money to ensure the success of the collections in the long term
  • What artists do you collaborate with?
We collaborate with established artists that influence change, challenge preconceived traditional concepts, and define movements. We believe that the role of the artist, the relationship between representation and significance, and the growing cultural relevance of visual images and experiences mass-distributed through social media, need to be considered and redefined to create a positive impact at a large scale.
  • What services do you provide in your collaborations with artists?
From concept to community we strategize, design, create, and engage for some of the top artists and underserved communities. Services vary depending on the project but generally include the following: Project Concept Co-creation of works Branding and art direction Minting on our platform or other platforms Programming and embedding NFC chips on physical artwork Project management, community management, promotion, and sales with a 5-year outlook Collection events, Apps, and experiences online and offline Pre Initial Public Auctions and Public Auctions Coordination with other galleries, art fairs, and museums

  • What is Art NSDRS?
Art NSDRS Inc. is a San Francisco Bay Area digital media company that collaborates with established artists to co-create fine art collections, cooperative works, and experiences that we promote and manage to maximize the impact. We give each artwork a fixed digital (as an NFT in the blockchain) and physical (NFC chip embedded in the physical artwork) identity to ensure authenticity.
  • What is the connection between NFTs and cooperative projects?
Since ownership stake is easily assigned to an NFT, we can realize cooperative projects anywhere in the world that don't require centralized enforcement and include automated payments. If necessary, it's possible to integrate other platforms to automatically make local currency payments to mobile phone payment apps that are ubiquitous in marginalized communities around the world. This means that in essence, no matter how remote the community, artists can finally create a product that carries each creator's ownership stake within it indefinitely while reaching a global market, without the need for intermediary enforcement or shipping. The makers and their ownership stake is intrinsically tied in the product.
  • Why do you only collaborate with established artists?
Our primary purpose is positive impact. We do this by creating awareness through the exhibition, promotion, and distribution of works from collaborations with single artists and cooperatives that benefit communities in need. By working with a few established artists per year on these projects we can maximize the impact and value we create in the short and long term.
  • Do all of your projects include NFTs?
We believe that we are at the foundation of art's next great revolution: immersive and personalized experiences at the intersection of our physical and digital life and where the authenticity of the artwork cannot be questioned. For this reason, we work with artists to create both physical and digital works that are registered on the blockchain as an NFT that, together with the NFC chip embedded on the physical piece, guarantee the authenticity of each work in our collections and in some cases allows us to overlay additional experiences that can evolve over time.

  • What are NFTs?
NFTs are digital assets on a blockchain that represent ownership of virtual or physical items and can be sold or traded. They are designed to secure digital files that create scarcity by ensuring uniqueness and ownership. Like physical art an NFT can be sold while the artist retains the copyright or offers it to the buyer. A 10% secondary sales royalty is usually assigned to the creators.
  • What is the blockchain?
This is a good article about the blockchain: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/investing/cryptocurrency/what-is-blockchain/
  • Are NFTs legit?
NFTs are absolutely 'legit' but the term and use is so broad that you may stumble across scams and schemes that aren't. It's always a good idea to do your research, never accept free NFTs and if something sounds too good to be true it's best avoided.
  • How do NFTs and crypto connect?
NFTs are also called non-fungible tokens, and they are blockchain-held tokens that represent a unique asset – whether physical or digital. NFTs are secured on cryptocurrency blockchains, trading using Ethereum, Solana, Wax and other tokens. This means they are tied to the ebb and flow of cryptocurrency values, which may be a positive or negative thing.
  • Why do people buy NFTs?
People buy NFTs for many reasons. Some view non-fungible tokens as assets to collect and trade, they see them as investments. Others just love the art or the technology behind NFTs and like to experiment with how it can be used or may even unlock any utility that may be assigned to it. More and more people are now seeing NFTs as a way to launch products, raise funding and give a voice to marginalized communities. There's a sense NFTs can unlock a new kind of democracy.
  • How do I set up a digital Wallet?
This is a good article about setting up a digital wallet: https://www.coindesk.com/learn/how-to-set-up-a-metamask-wallet/
  • What are NFTs used for?
Essentially, NFTs can represent any form of digital file, whether that's a jpeg of a piece of art, a video, or even a real estate document. Turning these files into 'tokens' and securing them on a blockchain make buying, selling and trading these files efficient while reducing fraud.
